Fire alarm testing:

In addition to the weekly fire alarm test at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium at 9.30am on a Friday morning, our fire alarm engineers are engaged in quarterly maintenance this week and there is a possibility the sounders may be activated as part of that work.  Maintenance is scheduled from 8am-5pm from today until Friday (29 September) and the engineers are being requested to minimise any activation of the sounders during this work.

Edinburgh Rugby pre-season fixture:

Edinburgh Rugby play Connacht in a pre-season fixture at Hive Stadium (on our back pitches), kick-off 7.30pm on Friday.  Should you wish any further information around this game or any Edinburgh Rugby activity please email info@edinburghrugby.org .

Scotland Women international match:

Scotland play Spain in a match ahead of the new WXV2 global competition (which will be staged in South Africa next month).  The match against Spain is on Saturday (30 September) at Hive Stadium with a 5.45pm kick-off.  A crowd of approximately 3,000 is expected for this match.

Rugby World Cup match ball delivery:

Former Scotland rugby players Stuart Hogg, Hugo Southwell and Kenny Logan and former Scotland footballer Ally McCoist will be among 20 cyclists/walkers departing Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium this Sunday morning (1 October)  to take the match-ball to Paris for the Scotland v Ireland Rugby World Cup match next Saturday (7 October).  The journey is raising funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, which is pledged to devote all its energies to find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.  The cyclists/walkers will be assembling at the East Stand, (the one closest to Roseburn Street) from approximately 7am with a 7.30am departure.  Given the early hour, we have stressed to organisers to keep noise to a minimum to respect local residents.
