Planning application: former petrol filling station at 8 Kew Terrace

Residents in the area may be interested to know that a retrospective planning application has been made in respect of the change of use of the above site from a vacant petrol filling station to a car/van hire centre. According to the planning application (No. 08/02165/FUL), details of which are available at http://citydev-portal.decenturl.com/kew-ter , its intended hours of operation are from 8 am to 8 pm on Mondays to Fridays, from 8 am to 6 pm on Saturdays, and from 9 am to 5 pm on Sundays. The site is limited in area, and worries have been expressed that if planning permission is granted it will result in an overflow of parked vehicles from the site into Roseburn (compare Roseburn St at the Stadium). Fortunately for neighbours of 8 Kew Terrace, their area is within the controlled parking zone.
