Dumping of "special collection" items for disposal at the Roseburn Gardens disposal point

Following complaints about the dumping of such items at this location, it is understood that arrangements have been made to remove them. Residents may not be aware of the facilities for arranging "special collections" (tel. 0131 529 3030 or see "special uplifts" section on the CEC web site). However, problems may increase with the introduction of charging for more that one special uplift in the year from 1 Aug 2007. One free uplift of up to six items will be provided to each household per year. Any further uplifts will be charged at £17.20. The existing charge for uplifting building rubble, tiles, etc., will remain.
