Water of Leith Flood Protection Scheme -- Latest

The scheme will now be officially advertised and after a period of 6 weeks, to allow for challenges to the legal process, the City of Edinburgh Council will proceed with procuring a contractor for the works. It is anticipated that this contractor will commence the site works in late Summer 2008. In the intervening period the Council has identified advance works that can be carried out. One of these items is at Harperrig Reservoir where new construction will enable automatic control of the water level at the presently agreed drawdown level.
