Thursday, 11 March 2010
The City Council has opened the following consultation until 13 April:
CHANGE OF USE IN RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES GUIDELINE
DRAFT FOR CONSULTATION
This guideline was approved for consultation at the meeting of the Planning Committee on 25 February 2010. The draft guideline has been prepared to support local plan policy dealing with changes of use in residential properties. It will replace the following existing guidelines: Guest Houses (1998); Private Day Nurseries (1999); and Working from Home (2006). When approved in its final form, the guideline will be used by the Council to assess planning applications for change of use in residential properties.
Consultation on the draft guideline will run for 6 weeks from Tuesday 2 March to Tuesday 13 April 2010.
The draft guideline can be viewed on the Council’s website at: www.edinburgh.gov.uk/planning (from the edinburgh.gov.uk) by clicking on ‘Latest news and consultations’. Copies are also available for inspection at the Planning Reception at Waverley Court and local libraries, or available on request. The draft guideline and accompanying Planning Committee report and existing guidelines should be referred to for full information.
Comments on the draft guideline should be made in writing to Rachel Gillen, City Development, City of Edinburgh Council, Level G.1, Waverley Court, 4 East Market Street, Edinburgh, EH8 8BG (email: rachel.gillen@edinburgh.gov.uk) by 13 March (sic?) 2010. Consultation responses will be reported back to the Planning Committee and will inform the preparation of the final guideline.
